All album infos written just like on the original vinyl album covers and labels.
Nice little pop songs are sometimes all that you want. This is the album.
Canadian Jacks might be considered as just another one hit wonder, but so what. I like his tiny little tunes and gently raspy voice and this album has a place in my heart. I used to play it a lot in the late seventies while living in the Puutarhakatu.
And of course, there is this huge hit Seasons in the Sun. The song has very special meaning to me. Cold spring 1974, sitting on the dank lawn beside the girlschool »Tipula»; this lousy cassette player playing the song again and again (another one was Slade's Everyday), while we were idly slurping warm beer. All of us were so very full of teenage angst of course... Höppis, Teija, Nalle, Leena and others. Oh, those glory moments... :-^
No, I don't play this one very often, those memories are so fragile. But perhaps every third year or so I light up the candles, turn the lights off and open the beer(s), and slowly slide back into that long lost world.
Thank you, Terry.
