Some stars been dropped here (with a careful lax):
*****
Classic, mostly masterpiece, often mouth left open.
****
Good, sometimes brilliant.
***
Ordinary, nothing special. They tried too hard or didn't go all the way.
**
Wasted vinyl, time and money mainly. Ready to recycle.
*
Lousy: criminal act. Yes, sue them.
***
About the stars given
Mainly it's simple: the music I love get stars. Therefore Britney Timberlake gets *, while Bruce Springsteen faces *****. See?
However, some minor impacts might have considered here. Albums that has some kind of relevancy, e.g. in its genre, sometimes catches »extra» stars.
Say, Michael Jackson means nothing to me, but Thriller still gets ****. Great rock band Geordie says nothing to anybody, but I love the album Don't Be Fooled by the Name and it gets the same, ****.
+ + +
Some records have extra pluses (+ to +++). It's NOT the plus in the usual musical manner. It means that the album has specific relevancy to me. These records may have defiened my musical taste in the early years or with them comes some special memories of people and places and happenings. Deep touché of vinyls, indeed.
That's the way, my way. 8-)
These are the lists of site author's vinyl collections. Eight different section.
International albums, maxi singles, singles and camp! records.
Same with the Finnish ones, except maxis replaced with the old Finnish dance music
albums (like humppa).

While reading the lists, you may click the arrow icon for more details. Subpages usually contains additional info like the list of tracks, cover pictures and band rosters.
The most relevant aka best albums on these lists are highlighted by using blue color. About the basis for ratings (*), read the additional info on the right panel.
What? CD-records here?

Well, perhaps I don't hate CDs but I certainly couldn't care less. Sterilized music in lousy format for plastic people. In fact, until June 2007 I owned only one CD. Mighty Fogerty's BMS, which I purchased after the concert. As a nice souvenir.
But okeey. While wandrin' around in those local second hand shops, a fair price (some 1 euro/CD), perhaps... We'll see.
